In Erebus

I am drawn to classical and religious themes in my work. In Erebus depicts those souls who, according to Greek mythology, are stranded in the in-between, Erebus, neither Hades nor Elysium, because none of the living cared to place a coin in their mouths at death to pay Charonitis the ferryman for passage in the afterlife. The utter alienation implied in their predicament appealed to me. I was younger then, and simply oozed with angst and alienation.
